| "Technology take up rates"? You'd be surprised - it's only in a few areas. Their washing machines are 30 years behind design-wise compared to Europe, and their kettle technology is 100 years out of date. When I first got here, I had a hard time believing it. It took several weeks of shopping for modern appliances and several blisters on my feet before I had to admit they didn't exist.
