That is *not* funny by POBUNNY2000-09-16 03:50:14

During the years that I did tech support, it wasn't the people who didn't know and asked questions that bothered me. Whe ones who listened and learned were the people I preferred to talk to. It's the people who think they knew more than you do and refuse to take any advice. It's the ones you explain something to 5 times in plain english and they still don't get it. It's the guy who calls from a payphone at the airport demanding that you fix a problem that could easily be fixed if he were sitting at his computer. It's the guy who says "I paid $3000 for this computer and I'm not going to read some #&%$@ manual to figure out how to use it". It's the customer who bought a new faxmodem for his computer, left the computer off for 3 days and then complains that he didn't receive any faxes. I was a top support tech at two different companies over a 5 year period. I was the tech that all the customers called back asking for. There were definitely times when I wished I could reach through the phone and strangle the person on the other end. My fee= free maintainance, from guys who think I'm pretty dumb for not knowing how to do a tune up.
