| I agree with what you did. Having been both a step-child, and a step-parent, I know both sides of the story, from treating my step-mum as the wicked witch, and being treated as the wicked witch.
You did the right thing with the information that you found, and letting the girl know that you found it, and haven't told her mother, was the correct thing to do.
That you looked at all was also the right thing to do, just because she took copies, doesn't mean that she had what ever important information there was safely stored, storage devices can be corrputed... You were in your right to check to make sure that you were not deleting anything that could have been important.
Now she has learned the lesson in life that says, 'If you cheat, you will be caught.' Maybe not straight away, but you always get caught. The girl was lucky that the person that caught her out, treated the incident so well |
