Whyis that? >(It really IS off-topic, isn't it? :-) I believe its because 555 is not a valid American prefix, and as such, whoever is making the movie doesn't inadvertantly make someone's phone number more famous than it ought to be. 555-xxxx is guaranteed not to be somebody's number, so its quite safe to use.
