Like Johnny Hart by Salamander 2000-06-13 00:42:07
UF reminds me of the humor of Parker and Hart, the folks who bring you the "Wizard of Id" and "B.C." I've been reading those for damned near 30 years and chuckle every time, still. UF, if Illiad can keep it up, looks to do the same thing. Since Scott Adams got "surplused" at PacBell, he's lost touch. Dilbert is getting down-right stupid these days! Yes, I think that UF is on a par with "Peanuts", "Wizard of Id", "B.C.", and other classics. Importantly, this ain't cheap humor that glorifies the shallow-end of the gene-pool,(like those gawd-awful sitcoms that are hogging the TV these days, e "Third rock ...", "Felicity", "Dumb and ...", etc.). I am finally glad to see new blood doing some serious humor (pun intended). Especially since Schultz retired(sic). Keep it up Illiad. If you make some profit off of this then that's your reward for doing a real good job. Don't pay attention to the "all profit is evil" set. Most of them haven't yet realized the amount of profit their boss is making, from them simply doing their job, or how much their contract agency is marking up their hourly rate, just for printing paychecks (can we say "keystone"?) Remember too,Parker and Hart don't have a cartoon because of serious problems, porting this style of humor to animations. But, if you can get syndicated ....
